Access to quality education is a fundamental human right and a cornerstone for sustainable development. Vision for Bright Future (VBF) is dedicated to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 4, which focuses on inclusive and equitable quality education for all. Recognizing the pressing challenges faced by children in the Agarfa area—particularly those from low-income families—VBF has implemented targeted educational support initiatives aimed at improving both access and quality of education, from early learning to secondary and vocational training.

Access to education is a right. VBF striving to contribute its part for the Sustainable Development Goal of number 4 which refers to delivery of quality education from early childhood education, free primary and secondary education, and technical and vocational education offered in sustainable and equitable ways.

Project objective, Strategy, Activities and result

Objective: Increase access and quality of education for children’s and students in Agarfa area.
Strategy: Provision of psychosocial support for Agarfa area low income family children’s and students in school. Plus, avail reference book for selected schools’ libraries.

Activity:
– VBF has provided 130 students with uniform, based on the grade level of student provide 6 – 10 exercise books, 12 pens and 6 pencils for selected low-level student.
– The support is provided for low-income family students to get education access in the sounding government schools.

Result:
A school directors and woreda education office report indicated as the project reduce increasing number of low income student school dropout rate due to financial problem of the household. Number of students who attend academic programmes, and co-curricular activities in school increased. The number of students you visit the library highly increased compared to the previous time as the library equipped with different reference books.
