About Vision for Bright Future!

Vision for Bright Future (VBF) was established in January 2019 by a few volunteers’ youth who aspired to contribute their part to enhance access to and quality of education and health for the community. Before it received its current name VBF has been operating since 2012 as a simple volunteer association named “Agarfa Improvement Association (AIA)” and helps hard to reach students to fulfill their requirement to go to school and mobilize communities to plant trees and create awareness on deforestation.
With such inherent motivation and high level of commitment that enabled VBF, first registered by The Authority for Civil Society Organization (ACSO) as formal not for profit, nonpartisan local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in 2019 to operate in Ethiopia with the license number of 4109.
Over the course of time VBF has primarily been involved in creating access to education and creating awareness on environmental protection. However, after its formal registration and in the COVID era the intervention includes health, emergency response and livelihood improvements. Currently, VBFs headquarter is located in Addis Ababa city and operates in Oromia and Amhara regional states including the capital city Addis Ababa.
Having its current thematic intervention (program) at community level, VBF works with schools, community members, health centers, community based social service providing institutions, and government sector offices and youth centers.
To date, VBF has directly served more than 30 thousand beneficiaries with an annual budget utilization rate of ETB 5,000,000 ETB. VBF currently has over 35 volunteers throughout the country. Since its formal registration VBF has been supporting 120 students annual through fulfilling their scholastic materials and uniform. Moreover, VBF support over 16 woreda school libraries through donating over 4500 reference books. and create access to for the student to read. On health intervention VBF built and handover a maternity care center with fully equipped materials in Oromia Regional state bale Zone Agarfa woreda which served over 136,000 beneficiaries (Mothers and chider).
Overall, VBF is an organization strives to meet SDG 1, 3, 4, 13 and ready to work on the rest goals too.
